change management and system implementation projects
Alexander Appointments strongly suggests that Blacktown City Council consider starting identified candidates ASAP, that being within a month of the job offer. This will significantly improve engagement of the candidate and address open vacancies.
Implementing a bonus payment to the trainee/apprentice upon the completion of their first year could be considered. We have seen this incentive applied by a few of our other clients, which has resulted in higher levels of retention.
Should Blacktown Council engage Alexander Appointments to undertake the recruitment of trainees and apprentices, our dedicated team will conduct a detailed briefing with key stakeholders to gain clarity for each open vacancy and apply our recruitment service model which can be tailored for your specific requirements.
Our proposed pricing model is:
Placement fee of $6,000 + GST for the first 2 trainees or apprentices placed in any calendar month, with further placements in the same month billed at a reduced fee of $4,000 + GST per placement.
A 3 month replacement guarantee applies to trainee/apprentice placements. Under this model, you pay only for successful placements, and benefit via reduced fees where a bulk intake of apprentices occurs in the same month.
Pricing is valid to 31 December 2024.
Length of Relationship | 15 years sourcing talent for both white collar head office roles and technical store roles, from 1st Year Apprentice through to Qualified Mechanics.
The Problem | Client had a significant backlog of open roles, coupled with higher than expected turnover, particularly within the first year.
The Solution | We built a scalable model to ensure maximum value for a changing and dynamic environment. First steps were to conduct a needs analysis and propose a solution, requesting data from the client to understand the number of open roles and total applicants that were put through the screening process.
We designed a solution by deploying a dedicated team to work in-house to bring the number of open roles down. We developed KPI’s that were measurable and reportable. We also developed a post placement care program to work alongside our client's induction, providing a 3rd party contact for the candidate to reach out to, and feedback was provided to the business to help reduce their turnover.
The Outcome | An outsourced RPO solution that exceeded the clients’ expectations, placing an average of 20 technical roles per month for 1st Year Apprentices, Tyre Fitters and Qualified Motor Mechanics. There was also a significant improvement in retention resulting from our candidate care program.
