About the Role
They are currently seeking 2x Contracts Managers with property development experience to join their growing team in Sydney with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This an estimated 15month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the development and management of property transactions and operational improvements to enhance infrastructure outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Effectively deliver property transactions that enhance value and utilisation of government owned property including managing and coordinating value-add such as subdivision, lot creation, clearances, transport outcomes, rezoning and placemaking outcomes for the community
- Collaborate and partner with a team of property professionals and technical experts, including external professional services consultants around environmental, heritage, planning, valuations, legalities, cost management, infrastructure works
- Undertake effective transactions management including risk management, due diligence and ongoing project management
- Ensure informed decision-making accounting for factors including value, time, market, opportunity and risk, government policy and environmental and community impact when determining asset strategies.
- Provide market leading input into tender evaluations, developer partnership negotiations and management.
- Ensure that transaction strategy is communicated and well understood, fully supported, and adopted to ensure integrated and effective decision making and timely completion of transactions
- Lead the Property team’s interface with the stakeholder engagement team with interested or affected parties; including ministerial offices, government agencies, councils, lobby groups and the community to ensure project objectives are realised
- Monitor and report on transaction and development costs, revenues, and risks for all allocated projects
- Remain abreast of current and emerging planning issues and trends, including domestic and international best practice, innovative approaches, and opportunities to support the achievements of the business objectives.

Requirements
- Tertiary Qualifications in Procurement, Law, Property or an equivalent field
- Minimum 10years Property Development experience dealing with high value commercial contracts over $100M
- Public Sector experience
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of the GC21 Contracts
- Proven Property Development experience in the initial tendering and contracts stages
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Valid Drivers licence and ability to travel throughout NSW
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
