About the Role
They are currently seeking multiple energetic and enthusiastic Financial Services Officers to join their fast paced high volume team in Parramatta with the flexibility to work remotely from home a few days per week. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
  
Working within the Financial Management & Treasury Business unit, you will be required to collect, collate and process payments and receipts, whilst undertaking general accounting functions to meet business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payables and receivable transactions for all entities across the business
  • Collaborate with team members to effectively and efficiently process over 1,100 invoices per day
  • Input and update data to support the maintenance of statistics on service delivery
  • Generate monthly customer statements showing outstanding balances and account status
  • Respond to enquiries, complaints and disputes by staff, suppliers/customers and escalate as required
  • Keep up to date on payments and ensure that debts due are properly brought to account and realised within commercially acceptable periods
  • Assist with calculating the necessary provision required on a monthly basis
  • Collate and input information to support the preparation of monthly journals and accruals
  • Support the compilation of credit, purchase card, travel American Express statements and associated documents
  • Assist the Team Leader with queries from the Audit Office, Internal Auditor and senior officers
  • Identify and recommend areas for continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite and Cofax
   
   
Requirements
  • Demonstrated Accounts Clerk, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Assistant Accountant or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working within a high volume fast paced transactional environment
  • Reliable remote internet access
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
