Our NSW State Government client cares for and protects NSW’s environment and heritage, including natural environment, built heritage, Aboriginal country, culture and heritage ensuring the protection and strengthening of the environment and economy in NSW.
About the Role
They are currently seeking a Grant Management Audit Officer to join their team working remotely from home with the requirement to attend the office 1-2days per week. This is an estimated 9-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.
Working within the Net Zero Transport Business Unit, you will be required to support the delivery of grant audit function in 2025.
Responsibilities
- Manage the first batch of grant audits in 2025
- End to end project management
- Onboarding the outsourced auditor(s)
- Planning and scheduling each batch of audits based on geographic considerations
- Travel across NSW to project manage pilot site visits with the auditor, establishing processes
- Ensure all required documentation for the audit is provided to the auditor for review, completion and signature
- Accurately store all documentation into the records management system
- Ensure the outsourced auditor manages regulated meetings with each Program Lead to provide oversight of progress, issues, risk updates and escalated issues
- Proactively identify and resolve issues
- Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
About You
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders across all levels
- Solid analytical, decision making, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Takes initiative with a strong work ethic
- High attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
Requirements
- Demonstrated Grant and Project Management experience
- Previous Contract Management of external audit company experience
- Willingness and flexibility to travel across NSW on a adhoc basis as required
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
