Our large NSW State Government client is responsible for the management of the NSW Government’s Aboriginal housing portfolio.

About the Role
They are currently seeking an Indigenous Assistant Project Officer to join their team in Dubbo. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.   

Reporting to the Manager, you will be required to gather, collate, analyse, scrutinize and report on Housing and community data to mitigate risks and provide optimal outcomes 


Responsibilities

  • Undertake extraction, analysis, interpretation and reporting on data from internal and external sources
  • Gather and collate information to support informed decision making outcomes
  • Generate evidence-based advice and reports
  • Provide specialist advice and recommendations to support performance monitoring and governance reporting processes
  • Undertake data mining, data profiling and data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish and maintain core internal and external data sets to meet reporting needs
  • Identify issues with quality and consistency of data collected to reduce potential limitations and ensure usability of data
  • Prepare project related documentation for key stakeholders including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements
 
 
About You   
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proactive, taking initiative with the ability to work autonomously
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite, Excel and Power BI
  • Reliable, punctual with a great work ethic
 
 
Requirements
  • Demonstrated Administration, Business or Project support experience
  • Proven experience working with data and data sets
  • Housing data experience advantageous
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
